MY WIGGLY CAR!!!! Oh man, where art thou, my wiggly car?? I begged mom to buy you for me, and we had the best time roaming around the limited space of our apartment (while no one else was at home for us to run into their ankles), and you gave me such thrill of speed, control, and wind in my hair. What I wouldn't give to have you back again, and we will take on the limited aparment floor space, dodging the dangerous furniture jungle in the way, just like old times! I miss you my wiggly car, whatever happened to you? Who did mom give you away to?? Would I be able to meet you again, only in my dreams?
Miss you terribly,
your once-proud owner,
me.

Bunny waits for bus
I had to catch this bus yesterday and spend half an hour walking around downtown San Francisco looking for its bus stop, and eventually saw this piece of printing paper duck taped on a tree. And then had to wait another 20 minutes for the actual bus to come.
I miss Vancouver's public transport system.

More sketches
I sketched this while waiting for restaurant resevation. He turned around after I finished and I realized he was a she. I quickly checked my drawing to see if I missed any critical info that might have represented her better but I don't think so.

Waiting for train sketches
I discovered a brilliant break through everyone!! I'm sketching with ink pen instead of waxy pencils!! So I can finally see what I just drew!!
Ahem.
In other news, my parents and in-laws are gonna be in town for a week, starting tomorrow. We're gonna take them touring up and down the Bay Area. I bought my dad a sketch book and I plan to sketch with him as I go. He doesn't know it yet, I'll just shove it to him during the trip. Cause he's always lecturing me that I should keep sketching, and damn it I want to see him do it himself. He always said hes too busy to sketch (which he is, teaching full time 7 days a week), but he's on vacation now, so no more excuses. If things go well I'll post both of our sketches.

I hate living in the past, but I am. Urg.
I spelled snow wrong.
I'm learning to pay more attention to things around me. There was a piece of dried lime around me.
I was playing with this piece of paper coil on my finger when chatting with my grandma on the phone. She can barely comprehend me now. I was really sad after I hung up, and was staring at it for awhile.
This piece of mint green cloth was in my childhood memory a lot. I remember staining it.

Bunny Flys Off
I think I almost lost my life in the playground once. All of my brothers and sisters and cousins grew up in this catholic kindergarten/sunday school place, and they have this metal geo sphere in the playground and it rotates by people pushing. One day I was climbing on the outside of the sphere and a few strong kids started turning it, REAL fast, to the point I was flying horizontal, and barely holding on. I was very scared and embarrassed and my little t-rex arms finally quit and I flew out. Luckily I didn't hit anything, except while being airborne my foot scraped my poor cousin's face who happens to walk by. I landed with a belly flop, bruised and scratched up and still in shock, saw my cousin crying in protest of being kicked for no reason. Apparently no adults or nuns and sisters were around so I went to wash up my hands and didn't dare to tell anyone. And being thick as I am I only remember this whole thing last week, and I drew it down. I wonder how many other near-death experience I had that I managed to forget?

Fish out of window
I saw WALL-E twice, once with my company and once with husband. I LOVE the movie, but I gotta say I do not enjoy theater at all. The floors were littered, the sound went off for five minutes during the climax, the people beside me kept glancing at their glowing phone, the kids behind me kept kicking my seat, etc. I want to watch movie at home without disturbance! I want to pay for downloading blue-ray versions for the newest release at home, and say bye-bye to the theaters.

Paper recycling
I went to Whole Foods almost every week for groceries, and they had stop giving out plastic bags. So we ended up with a whole lot of paper bags, and a danger of running out plastic bags for everyday garbage. We don't know what we should do when the doom day comes, we try not to think about it. Btw, Whole Foods is really expensive, but they have better selection of fruits and produce than Safeway. But sometimes I just can't bring myself to buy one $3.00 avocado! It's too much!

Back to fruit
Watercolor is hard 'cause the color is quite transparent, and wet color looks different when dried. So many times I have to stroke again and again to make the color stay, and that's not good. But watercolor is so much more easier to bring around than oil! I just really have to work on water control so I can get just the right thickness of paint, so I don't have to rework it.
