Cousin and bird

When bunny was in 4th grade, one of bunny's cousin had this amazing white bird who was our best friend. We would look at it, play with it and fuss over its nest and food all day.

One day we came home from school it was gone. We were told that when Grandma was changing its water bin earlier that day it made a bid for freedom.

My cousin was extremely sad for quite awhile.

Even after he was given a bunch of other birds, I remember as many as 9 at one point, he still didn't cheer up as much. Our dog went frantic with delight though, chasing them around the living room madly and was having the time of his life!

Bunny 3D

Bunny went to see "Up" in 3D last night. 3D glasses are very good at hiding people's sobbing faces when the movie gets emotional, but it would be more fun if they can make 3D glasses with fake nose and mustaches.

Bunny all grown up

In the wee hour of the morning, little Bunny loves to sneak up on ma and pa while they are chatting in bed, and snuggle in the middle until day break. These days however, bunny seems to have gotten a little too big for it.

Found a picture of this room on the web, it looked really lonely.

It happens when the weather is hot

Engineer bunny's computer broke down again, this time for real. Helper bunny was trying to help.

How to make your own starry night

In the summer time, when it's really hot and there's lots of flying-ant-things circling any light source in the house, bunny's bother and sister took the oldest and thinnest comforter with its separated cotton lumps, hide underneath it and held it up with our limbs against the ceiling light. Surrounded by darkness, and giggling siblings, we can see the light above shinning through the broken cotton, and it was our own starry night.

Heavy covers

In the winter time, bunny loooves to be under a bundle of heavy covers, and make sure everything is tightly tucked in.

Superhero days

This is another shot of the stairway where I grew up. I spend many years hopping up and down these stairs, imagining myself a superhero wearing capes. I once dreamed that my superhero outfit was complete with a dashing white space helmet, and a windbreaker plastic flaps in front of my face. It was one of the best dreams I've had and I believed I could do anything with that infallible outfit.

Mom and Dad

I took this picture of my mom and dad last summer when they visited us. My first effort of taking their portraits for my photography homework years ago met with extremely unflattering results. They claimed that I made then look lumpy and shabby, like a pair of refugees. I don't blame them because in their mind they still look super fabulous like this:

I don't think I ever looked that good. Aren't parents old photos from the 30s and 40s just fantastic?

Bunny suspects....

... that the lady bunny's toilet in the office is 'somehow' linked with the gentleman bunny's toilet. Because one day bunny is happily doing its business and suddenly the seat felt like a teeter-totter. Bunny could only imagine that there was a 'greater force' at work on the other end.

Polaroid

I'm in a polaroid mood lately, I think almost any pictures instantly has interests when 'polaroized'. Suddenly the present turned into the past, the meaningless became meaningful. But I also heard the polaroid company stopped making the shaking film papar, and I don't think their new instant digital camera produces that old school polaroid look. Does this mean the end of the polaroid era? How sad would that be. (It's like saying to the world: Sorry guys! There's no more cake. Eat pie instead.) I'm sure there are artists out there who's entire life's artwork revolves around the unique polaroid look and polaroid transfers. I guess they better buy up the entire leftover stock on eBay, quick!

A painting! Finally.

I saw Ray's took this photo of a park and it inspired me enough to get me off my lazy ass and paint! I hope I didn't mess it up too much :-P.

Bunny and bunny's sister loves to blow bubbles, all the time!

Foam Stairs

Wouldn't it be nice if the stairs are made out of foam blocks? Then we can hop and tumble around all we want and not get hurt.

Balloon Physics

Lesson one from my Grade 7 physic class, is a picture a little kid holding a balloon at an angle. We were supposed to learn how to calculate how much forces the little kid need to give, based on the wind forces and what the angle of the balloon is at, or something... Clearly I don't remember much from the exercise, and I never figured out how to calculate it. I just remember looking at the picture and thought: man, that is a nice balloon... and how much more fun it would be to be that little kid holding the balloon than to calculate those forces in numbers. Go balloons!

Singing in the rain

It rained A LOT these days in the Bay Area. There's more coming.

The bus that never came

Twenty years ago, on a hot summer afternoon, my brother and I decided to take the bus to go to a swimming pool. We waited for over an hour and that bus never showed up. We went back home.
My brother don't remember this ever happened, but I always remember that I was happy at the time, and the fact that the bus never came didn't really matter.

Supercorner

This corner from my childhood made me believe that I have superpowers and could jump down while hanging on to the railing and slowly float to a descend. I still wish that I could.

Bunny's re-enactment of file transfer! And a bunch of Summers.

Bunny loves re-enactments. It was fun to act out the flailing paper animations during a file transfer.

These are sketches of a dog named Summer, who belonged to one of my housemates back in 2001. Summer is not the brightest dog, and definitely not the slimmest, but she has this endearing quality of a dim-witted chubby circus clown, who's only thought in its single-celled brain is food.
