Last weekend my blog friend
Wren and I painted together for the first time at Lake Merritt in Oakland. It was a very nice day and there were tons lof birds of all kinds all around us. I picked up some tips and tricks of using watercolor from him and it was very useful, and generally just be in the same zone of another great artist really makes painting outdoors a very enjoyable experience. It also helps that neither of us seems like serial killers so we might very well get together again some time. :-)

Hi Kate,
Thanks for posting this - Wow, it look gorgeous. I actually ended up giving my goose painting away as a gift to a friend. She loved it. That was great - and we should get together again.
